Burnco’s primary concrete loading facilities. This project included applying industrial coatings to the silos, railings, hoppers, shakers and surrounding office and storage buildings.

Working on a fully operating facility that loads concrete created a unique challenge. The dust from the loading and from the non-stop vehicle traffic forced our crew to have to wash the facility everyday before working. We also had to work in short phases while the facility was not operating or operating at a reduced capacity. The scope of the work included: 

• Mechanically abrading and full priming the metal surfaces

• Applying a two component heavy industrial urethane coating to silos, railings, hoppers, shakers and structural steel

• Prepare and paint concrete siding on all surrounding buildings including office and storage buildings
